Wife’s Secret Changed Everything

After years of waiting, Elena and I were finally having a baby. On delivery day, she asked to give birth alone, and though confused, I respected her wish. When I was finally called in, I was stunned—our baby girl had pale skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair. Convinced she wasn’t mine, I accused Elena of cheating.

She begged me to listen and showed me a small birthmark on our daughter’s foot—the same one I share with my brother. Elena then revealed she carried a rare recessive gene that could cause light features, even when both parents are Black. Slowly, my anger faded into belief.

My family wasn’t as understanding. They mocked Elena and insisted the baby wasn’t mine. The breaking point came when I caught my mother trying to scrub off the birthmark. I asked her to leave and chose my wife and child.

A DNA test later confirmed the truth—our daughter was ours. When my family apologized, I knew one thing for sure: my real family was already complete.
