BREAKING NOW
Following the recent U.S. military operation in Venezuela that resulted in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro, both China and Russia have issued strong diplomatic statements condemning the action.
China’s Foreign Ministry said it was “deeply shocked” and “strongly condemns” the use of force against a sovereign nation, calling the operation a violation of international law and Venezuela’s sovereignty. Beijing urged the United States to ensure the safety of Maduro and his wife, release them immediately, and instead resolve disputes through diplomatic dialogue rather than military coercion
Similarly, Russia’s Foreign Ministry labeled the U.S. strike an “act of armed aggression” and called on Washington to reconsider its actions and release Maduro and his spouse. Moscow emphasized the importance of respecting Venezuela’s right to determine its own future without external interference and stressed dialogue as the path to de-escalation.
