If You See Red Marks Appearing on Your Arm, Don’t Ignore Them

These red, irregular patches on the skin may be caused by several common conditions. One possibility is a fungal infection, such as ringworm (tinea corporis), which often appears as scaly, reddish areas that can spread and sometimes form ring-like shapes.

Another potential cause is eczema, a condition that leads to dry, inflamed, and itchy skin. Psoriasis is also a consideration, typically presenting as thicker, well-defined patches with visible scaling. In some cases, contact dermatitis—triggered by an irritant or allergic reaction—can produce similar symptoms.

While mild cases can sometimes be managed with over-the-counter creams and good skin hygiene, it’s important to monitor the condition. If the rash spreads, becomes painful, or does not improve within one to two weeks, seeking medical advice is recommended to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment.
